“Carbon vs. Air” infographic

This infographic comparing the ThinkPad X1 Carbon with the MacBook Air was created as part of marketing efforts supporting the Carbon’s initial launch. I led team brainstorming efforts to identify various favorable data points that could be both verified and illustrated. Once we had a finalized list of data, I created an initial hand-drawn sketch which I then passed over to an external agency to produce. Unfortunately, the agency decided to go in a different direction, and we brought the project back in-house to complete. I then took the existing work and re-built the infographic as originally designed.

The infographic generated substantial buzz around the product, including multiple pages of commentary on several Macintosh-related discussion forums and several hundred shares across multiple social media networks. Lenovo’s Worldwide Marketing group also picked it up, repurposing and reusing it several times for subsequent product releases.
